I thought this was a universal unit but seems no as connectors are different so i have two variants one with the IF transformer one not

or has corroded

Tascam 488 Teac 8 track erase head 53786017 I thought this was aThis is a very very rare head it was used in a Tascam 488 though maybe its in some others Eight tracks on 1 8 inch tape insane, later they used two 4 track heads but this is the original. Its been carefully and professionally re lapped and tested good by the lapping factory and comes with its test report,never had one before so wanted to be sure. Oh and did I say its rare .
