Original seals are still intact look closely in the bottom left corner of the image and you will see part of the preserver, so this is actually a period copy daguerreotype. Those small abrasions were also on the original dag, not on this one! Condition of this image is excellent.. the underside of the glass needs cleaning but the image itself is undamaged.
