Manufactured in Germany by Glashtte Limburg. The thick textured glass shade is mounted onto a white metal ceiling plate held in place with two rectangular pieces of metal which it slots then screws onto therefore making it very easy to mount and change the light bulbs. The light requires two E27 E26 screw in light bulbs. I would recommend LEDs for environmental reasons
