Of course none of this affects operation - it is a joy to program and tweak and it sounds huge - the analogue sounds all have that larger than life quality that only comes from using a real 808

It's pretty much impossible to put an exact age on this (many of the components predate Jim Wallace's move to the IOW) and we suspect he could have built it using older parts - possibly using an earlier prototype
