Dubbed "The Godfather of Exotica," the turban topped Pandit created eerie background music for radio's occult adventure series, "Chandu the Magician" on his Hammond C 3 and Nova Chord organs. He was soon featured on his own television show, "Korla Pandit's Adventures in Music" which debuted in 1949 on KTLA in Los Angeles.
