名前の由来ですが、「クリスタル」はガラス風防(これはシチズンの他のモデルでも同様です)、「セブン」は7曜日、ラッキーセブンという縁起の良さから付けられたようです。(セブンの部分に関しては「セイコー5に対抗して数字を多くした」という通説も有り、はっきりはしていません。)
