As a songwriter, Silverstein had a string of Billboard songwriting successes including credits for the 1969 Johnny Cash hit "A Boy Named Sue". Originally released as a double album on GRT's Janus Records in 1973, Crouchin' on the Outside is a compilation of live and studio recordings.
