The benefits of compost on plant health will be reviewed. Regulatory requirements for composting winery wastes in California will be discussed. Vineyard managers will then share experiences in making and using compost in vineyards and its benefits to grape production when applied directly to the soil or when used to produce compost tea for soil or plant application.
