The handle is for Quistgaard's enameled pots, Ankerline, where the lid and the pot itself fit so tightly together that it can be difficult to get a potholder in. The handle is made of teak and bamboo and has a small chip on the top and a stain on the back. Ankerline is not to be confused with Quistgaard's more well known line Kbenstyle.
